ImageSails, LLC, (www.imagesails.com) has filed a lawsuit against Precision Sails with the California Northern District Court, alleging patent infringement among other claims. The suit and its contents are publicly available:

“I feel they had every opportunity to approach me and my company equitably, fairly, and respectfully,” says Daniel Gohstand, Founder and Creative Director of ImageSails, LLC. “They themselves have confirmed I created my art before theirs, and that I am the true inventor. Instead of pursuing anything productive or virtuous, they’ve turned their attentions and resources to trying to circumvent my patents. I find their conduct duplicitous and pathetic. As an independent artist and small business owner, I believe this is a blatant examples of a corporation disrespecting personal innovation. They’ve also diverted funds from our charitable project, helping a community in need, which I believe is shameful. I’m proud of what I created, and am confident the public and courts will defend my ingenuity and unique achievement.”
